Team Activity
See how much time each person on your team actually spends in Gene.
Where to change itSettingsTeam Activity
On this page
Team Activity answers one question: who on your team is actually using Gene, and for how long. The unit is a person, and the comparison is between people.
Find it at Settings > Team Activity. To change who is on the team in the first place, see Team.
Who can see it#
The page is for Managers. An agent who opens it gets a short explanation rather than an error. The restriction is real, not just hidden in the interface.
What you can do#
- Compare your team over a date range. Pick one of the preset ranges or set a custom one. Every figure on the page follows the range you choose.
- See active time per person. This is time actually spent working in Gene, not time with a tab left open.
- See when someone was last active, including the people who have not opened Gene at all in the range. That row is usually the reason a manager comes here.
- Read the per-day pattern next to each person, so a quiet week is distinguishable from someone who stopped a fortnight ago.
- See the team's day-by-day total in the By day chart: everyone's time added up, one bar per day.
- Tick Agents only to hide every Manager seat (Managers are tracked like everyone else) when the question is how your agents are doing.
Good to know#
- Everyone with a seat is listed, including people with no activity. Leaving them out would hide exactly what the page is for.
- Active time is not a productivity score. It tells you whether someone has adopted the tool, which is the decision it is meant to support.
- Invited people who have never accepted show no activity, because they have never had a session to measure.
- If the page says tracking is still being switched on, activity tracking is not live for your workspace yet. Time starts showing once it is. A Manager's own time is only visible to Managers; an Agent sees neither theirs nor anyone else's.
