Overview#

Analytics shows how your sales are going this year: who your leads are, where they come from, and how that is trending. It also shows how every email and WhatsApp campaign you sent did, and holds the dashboards you build yourself.

It has three tabs, picked at the top right next to the title:

  • Overview (the default): the year-to-date view of your leads, described below.
  • Outreach: every email and WhatsApp campaign with its recipients, deliveries, opens or reads, replies and reply rate. See Outreach tab.
  • Custom: your own dashboards, built by asking Gene or widget by widget. See Custom dashboards.

The Overview tab has no sections:

  • An opening scoreboard (the Executive overview).
  • A single grid of cards covering:
    • Who your leads are: motive, temperature, source, budget, timeline.
    • What your Meta ads spent and the clicks they earned.
    • Who visits your website: visitors and page views per day, top pages, where visitors came from and how many became leads.
    • How the emails your flows send are doing: sent, delivered, opened, bounced.
    • Lead and appointment volume over time.
    • How booked meetings end up.

Many cards start empty and fill in as Gene App gathers context from real conversations. Every card is covered in full under Details below.

Every number that counts leads can be clicked to see the leads behind it. Click the "1 spam" next to WhatsApp and you get that one lead; click the <$500k bar and you get every lead with a budget under $500k.

What you can do#

  • Connect a lead source (Executive overview hero, empty workspace): links to Settings, Lead Sources so the first leads can start flowing in.
    • The hero shows this onboarding state only while there is no spend, no revenue, nobody in the pipeline, and no wins.
  • Add ad spend (Executive overview hero, empty workspace): opens the Monthly ad spend dialog to enter a monthly budget per lead source.
  • Edit spend (Executive overview hero, once live): the same Monthly ad spend dialog, reached from the top-right link.
    • Ad spend and ROI only appear in the hero's metric row once a spend number has been entered.
  • Connect Meta (Meta ads card, before Meta is connected): opens Settings, Lead Sources, Meta Ads. Once Meta is connected, the card fills with your campaigns every morning.
  • See who visits your website (Website card): visitors, page views, form submissions, how many visitors became leads, your top pages and where visitors came from. Before the tracking script is on your site, the card links to Set up website tracking (Settings, Lead Sources, Website). See Website.
  • See how your emails are doing (Emails by flow card): sent, delivered, opened and bounced for every flow that sends email, in total and flow by flow. Click a flow's name to open it. See Emails by flow.
  • See how your campaigns did (Outreach tab): every Outbound, Newsletter, Project push and Cold email campaign by email, and every Outbound and Project push campaign by WhatsApp, with recipients, sent, delivered, opened (email) or read (WhatsApp), replied and reply rate, plus bounced and unsubscribed for email. Click a campaign to see it step by step. See Outreach tab.
  • See the leads behind a number (any card that counts leads): click the figure, bar, donut slice or legend row and a popup opens in the middle of the screen listing those leads. Click a lead to open their conversation. See Leads behind a number.
    • Works on Leads in the funnel and Opportunities won in the hero, Lead motive, Lead temperature, Leads by source, Budget distribution, Buying timeline, Leads over time, Appointments booked over time and each Appointments funnel row.
    • On Leads by source, the row lists every lead from that channel, spam included. The spam figure next to it lists just the spam.
    • On a coverage line ("Based on 41 of your 312 leads. The other 271 have nothing recorded yet."), each of the three numbers opens its own list: the leads with that detail, all your leads, and the ones still missing it.
    • On Leads over time and Appointments booked over time, the big total lists the whole range you picked. Click a day on the chart to see just that day.
    • Money figures (ad spend, ROI and the Meta ads card) are not clickable, and neither are the figures on the Website card, the email figures on Emails by flow, or a zero.

Tips#

  • Each lead-profile card ends with the number it is actually based on, for example "Based on 41 of your 312 leads." The second number tells you how much of your book the chart really covers. See The coverage line.
  • Lead temperature reads your own definitions of hot, warm and cold from AI settings. If you change what counts as hot, the chart changes with it.
  • The goal pace line on a trend chart only appears on the All range in Cumulative mode, since it represents a year-to-date pace. It uses the targets you set during onboarding.
  • If Restrict lead visibility is on for you (Agents by default, set per person in Team), every number on this page counts only the leads you can open, the same leads you see in Contacts. See With Restrict lead visibility on.

Details#

Every metric, chart and control on the Analytics page, for when you need to look something up.

The page has three tabs, Overview, Outreach and Custom, switched at the top right. The tab is part of the address, so a link to /analytics?tab=outreach opens straight onto Outreach and /analytics?tab=custom onto your custom dashboards. Everything from here down to Outreach tab is the Overview tab.

The Overview tab reads year to date. It has no section headings: the Executive overview panel, then a single grid of cards in this order:

  1. Lead motive
  2. Lead temperature
  3. Leads by source (full width)
  4. Meta ads (full width)
  5. Website (full width)
  6. Emails by flow (full width)
  7. Budget distribution
  8. Buying timeline
  9. Leads over time
  10. Appointments booked over time
  11. Appointments funnel (full width)

Cards sit two up on wider screens and in a single column on a phone.

The pipeline funnel, the Portal panel and Geography (world map, dial codes, contacts by country) are not on this page. The pipeline itself lives at Pipeline.

Every number that counts leads is clickable and opens the leads behind it in a popup in the middle of the screen. See Leads behind a number below. Money figures are not clickable.

Executive overview (hero)#

The opening scoreboard.

Empty workspace (no spend, no revenue, nobody in the pipeline, no wins): a "Nothing has come through yet" onboarding panel with Connect a lead source (links to Settings, Lead Sources) and Add ad spend buttons.

Live state shows:

  • Headline figure: value won this month (currency), from the leads won this month that are still marked won.
  • AI narrative line that reads the pipeline. Variants: still gathering data, appointments booked but no opportunities closed, opportunities closed. Once deals have closed, it leads with this month's count, the same deals the headline adds up, and gives the all-time count after it, for example "1 opportunity closed this month, 9 all time" (or "No opportunities closed this month yet, 9 all time").
  • Leads in the funnel (count): every lead in a pipeline stage, leads marked lost excluded. Click it to list them.
  • Opportunities won, all time: every lead marked won, across all your pipelines, by the same rule as the pipeline's Won column and the Deals won metric on Custom dashboards. A lead moved back out of Won no longer counts. Click it to list those leads, most recently won first, each with the date it was won.
  • Ad spend (currency) and ROI, a signed percentage (for example "+12.4%"), green when positive and red when negative.
    • Both appear only once a spend number has been entered, so a workspace with no ad spend never carries a permanent "$0 and no ROI" pair.
    • Neither is clickable.

With Restrict lead visibility on, the value won, Leads in the funnel and Opportunities won count only your own leads. Ad spend is still the workspace's total, and ROI shows a dash, since your wins against the whole workspace's spend is not an ROI.

Lead profile cards#

Five cards, each filled by the AI as it talks to leads.

The coverage line#

Every card here except Leads by source ends with a coverage line: "Based on N of your M leads. The other K have nothing recorded yet." The gap fills in as the AI talks to more leads and records the detail.

These charts only count leads where the AI managed to record the field, and leave out the rest. The coverage line tells you how much of your book a chart really covers: without it, a donut built from 41 leads in a book of 312 would read as the whole book.

Each of the three numbers in it is clickable: N lists the leads with that detail recorded, M lists all your leads, and K lists the leads with nothing recorded yet.

Lead motive#

A donut of what your leads want the property for. The four categories and their colors are fixed, and each legend entry carries a one-line meaning:

CategoryColorLegend meaning
InvestmentBlue"Buying to rent out or resell"
Personal useGreen"Buying somewhere to live in"
Mixed usePurple"Both: live in it now, rent it out later"
OtherGrey"The AI recorded a reason outside the three above"

Click a slice or its legend row to list the leads in that category.

Empty: "Gene fills this in as the AI talks to leads."

Lead temperature#

A donut of how ready each lead is to buy, by your own rules: Hot (red), Warm (orange), Cold (blue).

  • Each legend entry shows this workspace's own definition of that bucket, read from the temperature rules in AI settings. What makes a lead hot is configurable per workspace.
  • Edit a rule and the card shows your words, first sentence only.
  • While a workspace is still on the default rules, it shows a short gloss instead:
    • Hot: "Asked for a viewing, an appointment, or how to make an offer"
    • Warm: "Budget and timeline both confirmed"
    • Cold: "New or just browsing, nothing qualified yet"

Click a slice or its legend row to list the leads in that bucket.

Empty: "Gene tags a lead hot, warm, or cold once the AI has enough context."

Leads by source#

Full-width rows of lead volume per channel, spam included. One row per channel with its icon, a volume bar, the count, and a spam count in orange when any spam landed.

  • Click a row to list every lead from that channel. Spam is included, since the count includes it.
  • Click the spam figure (for example "3 spam") to list only that channel's spam.

Empty: "Every lead lands here with its source the moment it comes in."

Budget distribution#

A vertical bar chart of how many leads can spend in each price band, one bar per budget bucket. Click a bar (anywhere in its column) to list the leads in that price band.

Empty: "Gene logs a number as soon as a lead names one."

Buying timeline#

Horizontal bar rows of how soon each lead wants to buy. Click a row to list the leads in it.

Empty: "Gene captures this once the AI asks about timing."

Meta ads#

Full width, right under Leads by source. It shows what your ads spent and the clicks they earned over the range picked at the top right. The numbers come from Meta and are synced every morning.

Only this workspace's own campaigns are counted: those with at least one ad running from a Facebook Page the workspace uses, meaning the Pages on its Meta lead sources and its Messenger Page (or, if it has picked none, the Pages it is connected to). The Meta login that connected the workspace may see more ad accounts than that, for example an agency login that manages several clients. Campaigns from other Pages in those accounts are left out, so another client's spend never shows here. If Meta does not let Gene App read an account's ads on a given morning, the card keeps the previous day's numbers rather than showing a partial total.

  • Totals for the range: Spent, Impressions, Clicks, Click-through rate, Cost per click. When Meta counted leads for your ads, two more: Leads (Meta) and Cost per lead.
  • From ad click to sign-up: a funnel under the totals, only in Gene's own workspace. See From ad click to sign-up below.
  • Campaign table under the totals: Campaign, Spent, Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPC, plus Leads when Meta counted any.
    • Sorted by spend, top 8 shown, with "Top 8 of N campaigns by spend" when there are more.
    • On a phone, Impressions, CPC and Leads are hidden and long campaign names are cut short.
  • Footer: "Campaigns with ads from your Facebook Pages, updated every morning", with the latest day synced. When Ad research is on for the workspace, a link reads "See each ad in Ads, Research" and opens Ad research.

Click-through rate and cost per click are worked out from the summed clicks, impressions and spend, not averaged across campaigns. Money is shown in the workspace currency.

From ad click to sign-up#

This funnel sits under the totals only in Gene's own workspace (Gene Launch), since it counts visits to gene.so. Every other workspace sees the card without it.

It has four steps, each with its count and its share of the step above:

  1. Ad clicks: Meta's count of every click on the ads.
  2. Visited gene.so from an ad.
  3. Clicked Start free.
  4. Signed up: new workspaces that came from a Meta ad.

Visits and Start free clicks come from the website's own tracking, which also counts visitors who declined cookies. So no share is shown where a step is larger than the one above it. The funnel uses the same range as the rest of the card, up to yesterday.

Under the steps sit two figures:

FigureHow it is worked outNote under it
Cost per sign-upThe card's spend for the range divided by Signed upThe sign-up count
Cost per paying customerThe spend divided by the sign-ups now on a paid plan"N of M on a paid plan"
  • A sign-up counts as on a paid plan by the same rule billing uses: a Stripe subscription that is active or past due.
  • Both figures show cents in the workspace currency, like cost per click.
  • Either one is a dash when there is nothing to divide by (no sign-ups, or none of them paying).
  • When the plans could not be read, the paying note says "Not available" rather than 0.

Meta ads empty states#

  • Meta not connected: "Meta is not connected." with a Connect Meta link.
  • Connected but nothing synced yet: "No ad results yet." with a Check the connection link. Results sync every morning.
  • Both links open Settings, Lead Sources, Meta Ads.
  • A range in which no Meta ad ran reads "No Meta ads ran in this window. Try a longer range."

Website#

Full width, right under Meta ads. It shows who visits your website, from the Gene tracking script on it, over the range picked at the top right (7d, 30d, 90d or All). It is the same data the Troubleshoot sub-tab of Settings, Lead Sources, Website lists as raw events, summed up.

Totals for the range, in four figures:

FigureWhat it counts
VisitorsDistinct browsers that viewed a page. A visitor is one browser, so one person on a phone and a laptop counts twice.
Page viewsEvery page loaded with the script on it.
Form submissionsForms submitted on your site.
Became leadsContacts among this range's visitors, because they filled in a form on your site at some point (before or during the range). The share next to it is how many of the visitors that is.

Under the totals:

  • A chart of visitors per day. Hover a day for its visitors and page views. A day with no visits shows as zero, not skipped.
  • Top pages: the 10 most viewed pages, each with its views and its share of all page views.
  • Where visitors came from: each visitor counted once, by the first page view in the range that has a UTM source or a link from another site. Known places get plain names (Google, Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, Meta ads, ChatGPT, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and so on); anything else shows as the site or UTM source it is. A visitor with neither is Direct. The top 5 are listed, the rest grouped as Other.
  • A line at the bottom explains how visitors are counted, with a Tracking settings link.

Days are counted in UTC. None of the figures on this card are clickable.

Website empty states#

  • No tracking script on your site yet (Gene App has never received a visit): "Add the Gene tracking script to your website to see visitors, top pages and where they come from." with a Set up website tracking link to Settings, Lead Sources, Website. See Lead Sources.
  • A range with no visits reads "No website visits in this window. Try a longer range."

Emails by flow#

Full width, right under Website. It shows how the emails your flows sent are doing, over the range picked at the top right (7d, 30d, 90d or All). Every flow that sends email counts:

  • Outbound campaigns
  • Newsletters
  • Project push (a property pushed to its best-fit leads)
  • Cold email campaigns
  • The welcome flow of a lead source (Flows > Inbound)
  • Appointment confirmations

Emails you or Gene write by hand in a conversation are not counted here.

Totals for the range, in four figures:

FigureWhat it counts
SentEmails the flows handed to a mail server. The note under it says how many could not be sent at all (no address, blocked, refused on the spot), counted apart.
DeliveredThe share of sent emails that arrived, with the count under it.
OpenedThe share of delivered emails that were opened at least once, with the count under it. Project push emails are left out, since they cannot report an open.
BouncedThe share of sent emails that came back, with the count under it. It turns orange above 3%, the level where bounces start to hurt your sending address.

One line per flow under the totals, the flow that sent the most emails first: the flow's name with its type under it (Outbound, Newsletter, Project push, Cold email, Welcome flow, Appointments), then Sent, Delivered, Opened and Bounced, each as a share with its count. A flow with failed sends shows "N failed" under its Sent figure. Failed sends only decide the order between flows that sent the same number, so a flow whose emails all failed never sits above one that sent. A project push shows "-" under Opened, because its emails cannot report an open.

  • Click a flow's name to open it: an Outbound campaign or a project push opens its detail page under Flows > Outbound, a newsletter opens in the newsletter editor, cold email opens the cold email page, a welcome flow opens Flows > Inbound and appointment confirmations open Flows > Appointments.
  • A renamed flow shows its name today. A deleted one keeps the name it had when the emails went out.
  • The top 10 flows are shown, with "Top 10 of N flows by emails sent" when there are more.
  • On a phone, the Delivered column is hidden.

How the numbers are worked out:

  • Delivered comes from the receipt the receiving mail server sends back. Email sent from your own mailboxes (the warmed mailboxes behind cold email and Outbound, or a connected Gmail) gets no receipt, so there every email that did not bounce counts as delivered.
  • Opened is counted on emails with a designed layout: Outbound and Newsletter emails with a designed (HTML) layout carry a small invisible image that reports the first open, and cold emails do when open tracking is on for the campaign. A plain-text email cannot report an open, and neither can a project push email, so a push's Opened reads "-" rather than a 0% that would look like nobody opened it. Apple Mail downloads every email, which counts as an open, so open rates run high.
  • Bounced includes bounces that come back hours after the email went out, not only the ones refused on the spot. Email sent from your warmed mailboxes is the exception: there only the addresses refused on the spot count, because a later bounce goes to that mailbox's own inbox.
  • The open rate is out of delivered emails, since an email that never arrived could not be opened. Project push emails are left out of the total open rate, so they do not pull it down. Delivered and bounced rates are out of sent.
  • Emails sent before this card was added (October 2026) are counted too, from what Gene App recorded at the time: they count as delivered unless they bounced, and only cold emails have opens.

For replies and unsubscribes per campaign, and for WhatsApp campaigns, see the Outreach tab.

Emails by flow empty states#

  • Before any flow has sent an email: "Every email your flows send shows up here, flow by flow." with a Start an outbound flow link to Flows > Outbound.
  • A range in which no flow sent an email reads "No flow sent an email in this window. Try a longer range."

Trend cards#

Two area-chart cards, each with its own range and mode controls:

  • Leads over time.
  • Appointments booked over time. Counted on the day the meeting was booked, not the day it takes place.

Each shows a focal total for the window.

  • The subtitle reflects the range, the per-day mode, and the yearly goal when shown.
  • A dashed goal-pace line appears only on the All range in Cumulative mode. It is the workspace's goal, so it is not shown to someone with Restrict lead visibility on.
  • The last point is marked with a dot.
  • The tooltip shows the value, "That day" (per-day contribution), and "Goal pace" when shown. On a day with anything in it, it adds "Click to see that day".
  • Click the focal total to list everything in the window: the leads that came in, or the meetings booked.
  • Click a day on the chart to list just that day's leads or bookings.
  • Appointments booked over time lists meetings, one row each with the meeting's date and time.

Empty: "No leads in this window yet." / "No appointments in this window yet."

There is no goal editor on Analytics. Revenue and deal targets are set during onboarding, and the goal-pace line reads from them.

Appointments funnel#

Full width, closing the grid. Horizontal bars of every meeting booked, and where each one stands now.

The top row is All scheduled: every appointment ever made, whatever its status. Every row under it is one place a booked meeting can be now, and together they add up to All scheduled:

RowWhat it counts
UpcomingNot cancelled, no outcome, still ahead
Awaiting outcomeThe time has passed but nobody marked showed or no-show
ShowedMarked as showed
No-showMarked as no-show
CancelledCancelled
  • A meeting the calendar shows as Scheduled is counted in Upcoming, or in Awaiting outcome once its time has passed.
  • Each row shows the count and its share of all scheduled (All scheduled shows "total").
  • Click a row to list the meetings in it, one row per meeting with its date and time. All scheduled lists every meeting.

Empty: "The funnel fills in once leads book a meeting through Gene."

This is the appointments breakdown, not the pipeline funnel. The pipeline funnel is not on this page.

Leads behind a number#

The popup that opens in the middle of the screen when you click a lead count, anywhere on the page. Close it with the X, by clicking outside it or with Esc.

  • Header: the card's name, what you clicked (for example "<$500k", "WhatsApp spam" or "Leads in the funnel"), and a summary such as "41 leads, newest first." Meeting lists read "latest meeting first".
  • Rows: the lead's source icon, name (or email or phone when there is no name), source, a Spam tag when the lead is marked as spam, and the date they were added.
    • Opportunities won shows the date each deal was won instead, and lists the most recent win first.
    • The Appointments funnel and Appointments booked over time list meetings rather than leads, each with the meeting's date and time. A lead with two meetings shows up twice.
  • Click a row to open that lead's conversation in the Inbox. A lead nobody has messaged yet opens on their contact page.
  • Show more (N left) loads the next 50.
  • The count is always the number you clicked. With Restrict lead visibility on, the cards only count leads you can open, so every lead counted is listed.
  • On an External Partner seat, leads the partner does not follow are counted but not listed, and the summary says so, for example "2 of them are teammates' leads you can't open, so they aren't listed."
  • A zero is never clickable.
  • A role without the View contacts permission still sees every number, but the popup lists nobody. It reads "Your role can see these numbers but not the contacts behind them. A manager can turn on View contacts for you." Managers set it per person in Team.

Clickable figures: Leads in the funnel, Opportunities won, Lead motive, Lead temperature, Leads by source (row and spam figure), Budget distribution, Buying timeline, every coverage line, Leads over time, Appointments booked over time, and each Appointments funnel row. Ad spend, ROI, the Meta ads card and the figures on Emails by flow are not clickable (a flow's name on Emails by flow opens the flow).

Outreach tab#

The second tab of Analytics (/analytics?tab=outreach): how every campaign you sent did, by email and by WhatsApp. One range at the top right (7d, 30d, 90d or All, 30d by default) covers the whole tab, and only campaigns that sent in that window are listed.

There are two cards:

  • Email campaigns: Outbound, Newsletter, Project push and Cold email campaigns. The welcome flow and appointment emails are not campaigns, so they stay on the Overview tab's Emails by flow card.
  • WhatsApp campaigns: Outbound and Project push campaigns sent on WhatsApp.

An Outbound campaign that sends on both channels shows up on both cards, each with its own channel's numbers.

Totals for the range, in four figures per card:

FigureWhat it counts
RecipientsPeople the campaigns tried to reach, with the number of campaigns under it.
SentMessages that went out (a sequence sends one per step). The note under it says how many could not be sent, or on WhatsApp how many are waiting.
Opened (email)The share of delivered emails that were opened, with the count under it.
Read (WhatsApp)The share of delivered messages the lead read, with the count under it.
Reply rateThe share of people a message reached who replied, with "N people replied" under it.

One line per campaign under the totals, the one that sent most recently first: its name, with its type (Outbound, Newsletter, Project push, Cold email), its number of steps and the date it last sent under it. Then:

  • Email: Recipients, Sent, Delivered, Opened, Replied, Bounced, Unsubscribed.
  • WhatsApp: Recipients, Sent, Delivered, Read, Replied.

Each figure is a share with its count under it. On a phone, Recipients, Delivered, Bounced and Unsubscribed are hidden.

Click a campaign (or press Enter on it) and a popup opens in the middle of the screen with that campaign step by step: one row per step that sent in the range ("Single send" for a one-message campaign), the same columns, and a Whole campaign row. Its header names the channel and type, then "N recipients, N replied, sent <date> to <date>." Open campaign takes you to the campaign itself: an Outbound campaign or a project push opens its page under Flows > Outbound, a newsletter opens in the newsletter editor and cold email opens the cold email page.

How the numbers are worked out:

  • Replied counts people who wrote back on the same channel within 7 days of a send, before the next step reached them. An email reply counts for email, a WhatsApp message for WhatsApp. A reply counts toward the step that last reached that person, and the Whole campaign row counts each person once. A cold email recipient marked as replied counts too.
  • Reply rate is out of the people a message actually reached, so a send that failed does not pull it down.
  • Delivered (email) works as on Emails by flow: the receiving mail server's receipt, or for email from your own mailboxes, every sent email that did not bounce. Out of sent.
  • Opened (email) is out of delivered emails that can report an open. Apple Mail opens every email it downloads, so the open rate runs high. Project push emails cannot report an open, so a push shows "-" under Opened.
  • Bounced (email) is out of sent, and turns orange above 3%.
  • Unsubscribed (email) counts people who clicked the unsubscribe link within 7 days of a send, out of the people reached.
  • Delivered and Read (WhatsApp) come from the receipts your WhatsApp line reports. Read only counts leads who have read receipts on, and is out of delivered messages. When a line sent no receipts for a campaign, both show "-" rather than a 0%.
  • Waiting (WhatsApp) means the message's template is still with WhatsApp for approval, so it has not gone out yet.
  • WhatsApp has no bounces or unsubscribes, so those columns are on the email card only.

None of the figures on this tab open a list of leads.

The same numbers can be read from outside Gene App, for a report in another tool: where the API is enabled, create a key under Settings > API with Read campaign analytics ticked.

Outreach empty states#

  • A workspace that has never sent a campaign: "Every email campaign you send shows up here with its results." (or WhatsApp campaign) with a Start an outbound flow link to Flows > Outbound.
  • A range in which no campaign sent on that channel reads "No email campaign sent in this window. Try a longer range." (or WhatsApp campaign).
  • For someone with Restrict lead visibility on: "Outreach results cover the whole workspace, so they need a role that sees every lead."

With Restrict lead visibility on#

When a manager turns on Restrict lead visibility for someone (Agents by default, see Team), Analytics shows them their own book, not the workspace's:

  • Every card, the coverage lines, Leads over time, Appointments booked over time and the Appointments funnel count only the leads they can open: the leads assigned to them, plus every lead on the WhatsApp numbers they are on where number teams are enabled.
  • The Executive overview's value won this month, Leads in the funnel and Opportunities won are their own.
  • Clicking a number lists exactly that many leads.
  • They get no goal-pace line and no ROI figure, since both measure the whole workspace. Ad spend still shows the workspace's ad account, and the Meta ads card the workspace's campaigns.
  • The Website and Emails by flow cards are not shown to them, since they count the whole workspace. The Outreach tab is there but shows no results, and the Custom tab's dashboards do not open, for the same reason.

Managers, and anyone with the switch off, see the whole workspace as before.

Monthly ad spend#

The dialog opened by Add ad spend (empty-workspace hero) or Edit spend (live hero).

  • One currency-prefixed input per connected lead source, with currency symbols $, EUR, GBP, AED, A$, C$.
  • Sources not connected are labeled "Not currently connected" but stay editable.
  • If no sources exist, it reads "No lead sources yet." with a "Connect a lead source" link to the inbound flow.
  • There is no Save button. The spend saves as you type, with a Saving... / Saved marker next to the title, and Gene App recomputes Return and ROI from it. Close the dialog with its X.

Filters and options#

All controls act immediately on click. There is no apply step.

Every range counts whole days in UTC, ending today: "Last 7 days" is today plus the six days before it, from midnight UTC. The trend cards, Website, Emails by flow, the Outreach tab and daily charts on Custom dashboards all use this same boundary, so the same range counts the same days everywhere. Meta ads counts the whole days up to yesterday, since Meta reports each day once it is over.

One switch at the top of the Outreach tab, for both cards.

There are no traditional dropdown menus on Analytics. All controls are the Overview / Outreach / Custom tab switch, the segmented pill toggles on the two trend cards, the Meta ads card, Website, Emails by flow and the Outreach tab, the ad-spend dialog inputs, the clickable lead counts and the clickable campaign rows on Outreach. The Custom tab has its own buttons (New dashboard, Add widget, Ask Gene) and a ... menu on each dashboard and widget, see Custom dashboards.
